how much my kids and I

love an

indoor, interactive

playroom.

I love the way this one is set up.

It has a nice variety of things to inspire the creative in our children.

Fall weather

lends itself

to getting together

with friend

for a picnic

and hiking.

The Arsenal

has some wonderful

flatland

hikes over bridges

and around

lakes.

The combination

of hiking

and picnicing

are a

perfect match.

The kids

found some catails

to shred

and send flying in the wind.  So much fun.

The visitor center has a

brightly colored informational displays

detailing the history

of the area

as well as the restorative

practices

for fixing the damages

caused by the production

of nuclear weapons.

It's amazing to see

how an are can be restored

from growing nothing

to growing rich vegetation and numerous varieties of  wildlife.

Seeing an animal

free to run, graze, and play

in an open meadow

is a truly amazing sight.

Combined with the view of downtown Denver,

and endless line of mountains,

open prairies,

and sparse fall folaige

such spectacular views

to be enjoyed and cherished.

Who would imagine that the entire area is surrounded by city.
