Denver Botanic Gardens ~ Spring Flowers

Denver Botanic Gardens

When ever I think of flowers I think of spring time.

Flowers may grow all summer,

but there's something spectacular about the display they put on in springtime.

New beginnings

filled with new hope.

those are some of the things I think of in springtime.

The Botanic gardens is a great place to experience

all the feeling and thoughts brought on by springtime.

Skate City ~ Rollerskating isn't just a Thing of the Past.

Skate City

You put your right foot in,
You put your right foot out,
You put your right foot in and you shake it all about,
You do the hokey pokey,
That's what it's all about!!

Good Times.

Good Memories.

Fun for all ages!

Colorado Railroad Museum

Colorado Railroad Museum

Ch, Ch, Ch,  Ch, Ch,  Chooo, Choooo!!

Allllll Aboard!!!

I'm sure all of us have seen Thomas the Train, or The Polar Express

at some point or another.

A visit to the train yard is a big deal.

There's quite a bit of  history coursing through the rails running across our nation.

Besides the fact that riding a train is just plain, pure and simple FUN!

I don't know if it's the sound of the whistle , or the clickety, clack you feel as you head down the track, but it all adds to the fun and excitement!

Hammonds Candy Factory

Hammonds Candy Factory

For everyone who's seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,

touring a candy factory is a must.

Children and Candy go together like bread and butter.

Seeing how things are made is such a treat.

The tour is free.

Plus at the end of the tour, you get a free sample.

How great is that.

I'm thinking a repeat tour is in order one of these days.

I'm sure we have a couple sweet tooths running around here somewhere.

Boulder Falls

Boulder Falls

Boulder Falls is a wonderful hike just outside of boulder.

I believe it's closed for the time being due to trail reconstruction.

Have I mentioned how much I love waterfalls?

Let me say it again. I LOVE waterfalls.  This one with its magnificent double spillway thunders down on everything in it's path.

This engine part fits in so well with all its rustic surroundings.

I wonder how it got there,  who left it, what stories it might tell.

My husband loves finding things like that along the trail.  I might never have noticed it.

So fortunate to have a gear head along with such sharp eyes.
