Washington D.C.  The National Mall

Few places capture our national spirit like the National Mall.

Touring the monuments will definately take all day.

so don't plan lots of other excoursions, cuz you ain't gonna fit'em all in.

The historical implications are enormous, like being trapped between a rock and a hard place :}

The hard nocks of life in the depression era.

The beautiful Thomas Jefferson Memorial.

St. Louis Arch National Monument

One of our family goals has been to introduce our girls to some of  the sites that make the United States  famous.  One of  this years adventures included the St. Louis Arch.

Grampa  R.  got to join us this time around.  We're glad he got to come along.
