Scenic Return Trip from Mesa Verde

Our return trip

to Denver

was just as beautiful

as our trip on the way there.

You'll have to excuse

the crooked 

blurred 

pictures,

since moving vehicles 

aren't very conductive

to perfect pictures,

but ever a sucker 

for the beautiful mountain scenery

and numerous 

barns along the way,

I couldn't resist

snapping 

a picture or two along the way...

WELL maybe more than a couple.

actually A LOT.

Some of these 

structures are absolutely beautiful 

and totally justify the crooked, blurred, bumpy shots.

Due to the fact

Mesa Verde is located

quite some distance

from our residence

and that we were trying

to squeeze

this glorious vacation

into Labor Day weekend,

one can only wonder

why the majority

of my pictures

taken from the window

of a moving vehicle

might turn out

a little crooked

of blurred.

Inspite of the imperfect photography,

the scenery

and architecture

of our most beloved state

Colorado

shines forth

its stunning scenery

and majestic scenery

sprinkled with

Western Architecture.  Love this state!

Meeker Colorado ~ Camping

Meeker Colorado Camping

For memorial day 

this past year,

we decided to go see Rifle Falls again.

Somehow it  came about 

that we ended up 

camping on our friends land.

It turned out great.

The kids were able to 

fish to their hearts content,

chase the chickens and cows,

and get in some 

serious canoeing

and kayaking time.

Meeker

is incredibly

beautiful

for half a second, I even considered how nice it might be to live there.
