Denver Free Days

2012 Free Days

Participating in Denver Free Days, is a great way to make your dollar stretch.  Visiting museums and zoos, can be spendy.  I like to get a membership, to one of the museums every year, and visit the rest on free days.  Last year, we had a membership at the Downtown Aquarium.  This year our membership has awarded us several visits to the Children's Museum.  This coming year is a toss  up between the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Denver Zoo

"Castles of Colorado" One Book Worth Reading

Last September,  my husband and I were fortunate enough to get the opportunity to attend a couples retreat at Glen Eyrie Castle.  You can see some of my pictures here.  Before the conference, I was unaware, that Colorado had any Castles.  While browsing the bookstore, I picked up this book.  Since then, finding these castles, has become an enjoyable passtime.  I will be posting our visits in the future, so keep a watch out.  Those of you who have followed my other blog, Quest for Common Sense,  have seen some of our past escapades.  New followers, are welcome to browse them at your leisure.

What Castles have you been to?  I would love to hear about your adventures.

Colorado Castles off I 70 near Empire

I don't know the name of this castle, but I've seen it from I-70 several time. One day we decided to go find it.  It's located along I-70 Southwest of the Empire Exit. You're welcome to try and find it yourself, if you so desire.

Beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountians - Dillon Silverthorn

Nothing in  Colorado compares to the beauty of the Colorado Rocky Mountians.

We've spent hours exploring their endless wonders...

and undoubtably, will spend many future hours doing the same.

Downtown Aquarium: The place where Mermaids come to Life

The Downtown Aquarium is definitely my favorite animal attraction.  Even after a year long membership, and countless visits,  it's lure still hasn't lessened.

It brings sea life up close in a new and exciting way.

Feeding the stingray's is a special treat.

and don't forget the mermaids.
View their underwater show, and even get your picture taken with them.

Places New and Old

Living in a tourist trap deffinately has its advantages.  With so many places to go, and so many things to see, we never run out of things to do.
My other two blogs Quest for Common Sense and Victoria's Treasures are wonderful places to share  thoughts, and creations.
On this blog, We'ld like to share with you, places in Colorado we've been, places we'ld like to go,  and occasionally, places beyond the borders of Colorado.
