Rocky Mountain National Park ~ Fall Color

Rocky Mountain National Park

Of the two

dirives we took

this year to see leaves,

this one was

more successful.

We caught the

tail end of the leaves

in RMNP.

You can see the front moving in.

In fact we just barely made it.

Our drive

home was quite slippery

(I'll post those pics soon).

We did stop and get some lovely

family photos though before leaving the park(look out for those as well).

Butterflies of Colorado ~ Painted Lady Butterfly

Butterflies of Colorado

Painted Lady Butterfly

I want to call

this year

the year

of the butterfly.

For what ever reason, this year we saw hundreds of these beautiful Painted Lady Butterflies.

Tamales Moreno ~ The Place to Satisfy your Tamale Cravings

One thing I

can never get

enough of

is a well made tamale

perfect in it's blend of spices.

Love, Love, Love tamales.

Something else

I love is

the unique art

and decore

a person finds

in random restaurants.

A little ambient

spice

never hurts

the tasting experience.

Russell Gulch ~ Colorado Ghost Towns

Russell Gulch ~ Colorado Ghost Towns

Every year

we try to take in

a little bit

of fall color.

As you can see

a cold snap

dropped most of

the leave before we got there.

Timing is everything when it comes to mountain leaves.

One day they can be green,

another day they might turn beautiful shades of gold, orange, and red,

and another they might be gone.

All the while Denver could have not even the slightes

hint of

changing leaves.

Next time around,

I hope I catch this

beautiful little Ghost Town in full color.

University of Colorado Boulder Campus ~ Fall Color

Seated at the base

of the Colorado Rocky Mountains,

University of Colorado

puts on

a spectacular fall display

when the leaves start to turn.
