The Heritage Museum ~ Leadville Colorado

The Heritage Museum

So much

history

can be dug up

in all these

mountain mining

towns.

Leadville

is a great

place to bring

mining history to life.

Snowshoeing the Leadville Mineral Belt Trail ~ Bridges and the Miners Sauna

Mineral Belt Trail

Just imagine

a long

hard

day.

Stuck underground.

digging for gold,

on a cold winter day...

and then visiting

the local miner's sauna afterward.

I'm sure this hidden treasure,

was just the

thing,

for soothing those

overworked muscles.

Miners had a tough life.

Showshoeing ~ Mineral Belt Trail ~ Leadville Colorado

Mineral Belt Trail

Snowshoeing is

one of the

truly great

wintertime activities.

It's something a whole family can enjoy.

Even our half pint hiked for a while.

When she got tired, her dad and grandpa

took turns

carrying her.

Love those warm winter days in Colorado.  There's nothing like them.
