South Denver University of Colorado Wildlife Experience Globeology Biodomes

Wildlife Experience Biodomes

Some of the museums around

have discovered

that most children

enjoy a good

scavenger hunt.

The challenge

most often

keeps them

engaged

and actively

learning

in a way

that they don't even

realize it.

The taxidermy

at the Wildlife Experience

was spectacular.

Even a step up

from the Museum of Nature and Science.

Mesa Verde ^ Museum, Spruce Tree House, Pipe ShrineHouse, Megafamily House

Museum, Spruce Tree house, Pipe Shrine House, and Mega Family House

Ever a fan

of a good museum

I enjoyed

it's portrayal

of the varius

pottery,

clothing

tapestry,

and dwellings.

The Spruce Tree House presently

closed for repair can only be viewed from the other side of the canyon.

The Megafamily House

like the other

above ground ruins

had a completely  different feel to them

than their underground counterparts.

Notice the

circular petroglyph. Similar to one found in the Mayan ruins in Mexico.

More Kivas seemingly present

at all the Mesa Verde ruins.

Aurora History Museum

Aurora History Museum

At times we're creatures of habbit,

other times

we like to shake things up

and throw in something different.

a couple years ago,

we decided

to check out the fireworks

at Aurora Town Center.

The added bonus being

a free tour of  the Aurora History Museum

while we were waiting

for the festivities to begin.

Complete with

crafts

and a scavenger hunt.

What a great way

to keep the

younger ones

occupied

until

the start

of the

fireworks

display.
