The Butterfly Pavillion~Tropical Flowers~Angel's Trumpets and Hibiscus Flowers

Stacie has been asking to go to the Butterfly Pavilion for quite some time.  She was supposed to go with her class for a school field trip.  Unfortunately the field trip got canceled due to bad weather. 

A trip to see the butterflies, turned out to be the perfect way to celebrate her birthday. 

The flowers were beautiful.

The butterflies were esquisite.

We also came home with a new pet. 

Any guesses as to what it might be?

The Denver Zoo ~ Giraffe and Parrots

We got a membership to the Denver Zoo,  so most likely you will see many pictures from our visits to the zoo this year.  I hope you enjoy our zoo shots as much as I do.

Castle Wood Canyon State Park

For both Colorado Natives and Tourist who prefer to stay within the confines of the city, but still want a fun day of hiking, Castlewood Canyon is the perfect place for an afternoon adventure. 

One end of the park has the old homestead ruins to explore.

The other end has great hiking trails,

and beautiful scenery.

Horses are a favorite at our house.  Fortunately we have friends who allow us the privilege or getting in an occasional ride.

Denver City Park

Denver City Park is

 a wonderful place

to take a stroll in the park
on a warm summer day.

Estes Parks Theater

The Estes Parks Theater is such a beautiful building.  Just one of the charming things about this adorable little tourist town.
