Cuy
For us guinea pig is a furry little animal we sometimes keep as a pet. Not so in South America, particularly Peru. Peruvians eat it as a delicacy. It's often served in honor of a birthday meal. The last week we were there, the girls and I finally tried it. Though I wouldn't say it's discusting... I'm not going to say it was good either. The meat was very greasy and not a lot of taste. The Alpaca we tried on another occasion was much, much better!
