Shoshone Rapids
As of this summer,
I can now say,
I've rafted
both sides
of the continental divide.
Each a unique
experience
special in
different
ways.
This trip so memorable
in that it was
the first trip
down river
for three of my girls.
My youngest
will have to wait
until she's
a little older.
The rest of us thrill seekers
clung to our paddles
and rowed
our hearts out
winding our
way down the canyon
following
the whims
of the river's rage.
Tossed
jumbled,
and bummed
along.
Crashing
thundering,
and plummeting
through each
and every
rapid.
What a
wondrous
way
to spend a jolly day
riding the Colorado River.
