A lovely trail surrounds the lake the perfect length for an afternoon stroll.

The fish are plentiful.

Flowers are magnificent.

Don't forget to feed the ducks.

Charley Taylor Water Wheel~Bridal Veil Falls~Idaho Springs

Some places warrant frequent visits.

The Charley Taylor Water Wheel is just such a place.

It's so easy to get to, with it being just off the highway.

So we visit, over and over and over again.

Who could ever tire of such a beautiful water fall?

Not I

Not even my kiddos.

Daisies bring cheer to any picture.

We sure do love this place.

Mt Goliath

Mt. Goliath reminds me of the Joshua trees in California.

Such a unique blend of vegetation,

scattered along the beautiful, winding trails.

What a lovely place to visit.

The Astor House Golden

Who remembers the first time they discovered antiques?

One day when my grandmother deemed me old enough,  she decided to introduce me to a whole new world of wonder.  Antiques!

Since then I have been captivated by their unique, quaint style.

Each piece tells a story of something long ago.

Some hide their use like a mystery for our modern society,

so entrenched in our world of cell phones, computers, mp3 players and tablets.

Quite a different world we live in today.

Sometimes its the simpler pleasures that bring us great joy.

Mt Evans ~ Colorado 14-ers ~ Drive to the Top Instead of Climbing

Climbing a 14,000 ft mountain is quite a feat.

If you've not attempted one before, Mt. Evans is a great one to start with.

As you can see, roads run nearly to the summit.

Making for a fairly easy climb at the end of a lovely car ride.

Now that's climbing in style.

If you're lucky you might see the mountain sheep that reside in the area.

Afternoons tend to get a little rainy and cloudy,  so plan for chilly weather

even during the summer.

I love the views from the top.

I'm told you can see all the way to Wyoming.
