Colorado Waterfalls-Snake River Falls

 

Some waterfalls are truly hard to get to of the various Colorado waterfalls we've visited, Snake River Falls is one of the more difficult to reach.

 

The upper falls can be seen with out too much difficulty, but the lower falls require a great deal of maneuverability.

 

This is your route in as well as out of the ravine.

Clear Creek Trails in Golden

 

If you're looking for a leisurely stroll along the river, Clear Creek Trails is the place to go.

 

For those wishing to cool of on a hot day, there are many spots along the trail perfect for wading.

 

These lovely statues definitely draw the attention of the little people. 

 

My girls love to find things to climb on.  I love finding new places to let them explore.

Colorado Castles ~Glen Eyrie~Dorathy Falls

 

During our stay at Glen Eyrie, we had the opportunity of hiking one of the trails.

 

Knowing my affinity for waterfalls, I'm sure you can all guess why we chose to hike up to Dorothy Falls.

 

It's a nice little trek over bridges, 

 

Rocks,

 

and fallen trees.

 

to a beautiful waterfall at the top. 

 

Of course, by fall, its a mere trickle, but I hear its a raging torrent in the springtime.

 

Perhaps someday, I'll get a chance to see it in the spring.
